There has been lots of stuff going on! Most recently I became engaged! Truss proposed during our trip to Mexico - a really thought out, creative (and tricky) proposal, if
you ask me. He proposed on the beach the day after we got there. His mom and her husband and his brother and his wife were there (and were all in 
on it). It was fun to celebrate with the
m and enjoy the time as a newly engaged couple. Oh, how I wish I was still in Mexico... sitting at my desk during my lunch hour in front of the computer doesn't quite compare to eating chips and guac, drinking a margarita and sitting on the beach.I'm still getting used to the engagement. It really, really stunned me - I thought it was a few months away. Planning has been going in full force, starting the minute I landed back in KC. Booked the date, venue and photographer and have been looking at wedding magazines and online for color schemes. Lots to think about! I'm hoping it will be more fun that stressful. Luckily my sister went through it 4 years ago, so I have some background on what I'm supposed to do to plan a wedding.
Next up for the busy summer includes a trip over the 4th of July to Oklahoma City and Dallas to visit Truss' family. Truss' 30th birthday falls on July 3, which we will probably celebrate with his mom in OKC and when we get back in town we'll get together with friends. That trip will be followed by my 30th birthday on July 11. Not sure what we're doing to celebrate at this point.
Then, later in July we're heading up to Minnesota for a week, which will be great.
